Tips, Tactics, & Tools for a Safer Tomorrow was born out of several conversations between Brink Fidler and Tom Herring that always revolved around how they focus on properly educating their clients in order to maximize their effectiveness and customer service.
Both companies strive to meet the same end goal and that is to increase the safety and security posture of their clients.

Tom Herring is the founder and operator of Herring Technology, an industry leading security technology company that currently protects the property and personnel of some of the most successful companies across the United States. He brings twenty years of experience to the table and has assembled a superior team of minds to provide and consult in all areas of security. He often serves as the technology expert on safety and security panel discussions and uses that opportunity to educate audiences and clients.

Brink Fidler
Brink Fidler is the founder and President of Defend Systems, a life safety and security consulting firm that specializes in physical security and active shooter mitigation. He is a frequently booked public speaker on the topic of active shooter events and organizational response. Fidler served nearly two decades in law enforcement in Nashville, TN, where he retired as the Director of the Drug Task Force. He has directed and supervised hundreds of court ordered wiretaps, thousands of hours of physical and electronic surveillance, hundreds of search warrants throughout the United States, and has planned and conducted over one thousand high risk tactical operations.
